Geology :
Obsidian that has inclusions of Magnetite or Haematite creating the mahogany coloured patches in it, produced when felsic lava extruded from a volcano cools rapidly with minimal crystal growth.
This stone belongs to the broader category of obsidian, which is a naturally occurring glass with a smooth, glossy texture. What sets Mahogany Obsidian apart is its distinctive colouration, characterized by rich, deep brown and reddish-brown hues.
