Geology :
The beautiful flash is called Labradorescence. When light enters the stone, strikes a twinning surface within the stone, and reflects from it. The colour of light reflected from that twinning surface. Of many colours of Blue, Gold and Rare Purple.
Labradorite occurs in mafic igneous rocks and is the feldspar variety most common in basalt and gabbro.
